Kalani
Hawaii's Largest Retreat Center
Kalani is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational retreat center in the heart of the coastal jungles on the island of Hawai’i.
Our lush campus is a hub for wellness services, guest lodging, environmental stewardship, educational programs, and community living. We partner with teachers and facilitators to offer daily classes such as yoga, art, gardening, meditation and dance, as well as host community workshops, special events, dedicated retreats, and so much more.

Getting Here
Complimentary shuttles run to/from Hilo Airport (ITO). If you choose to fly into Kona Airport (KOA), you will need to arrange your own transportation to the venue. Travel times from Kalani to airports: Hilo (ITO): 45m Kona (KOA): 2.5 hours We will collect all guests arrival and departure flight times to provide pick-up and drop-off from Hilo Airport.
What To Bring
• Workout and comfortable clothes, layers for cool nights, swim gear and something nice for a special occasion plus a white outfit for the closing ceremony. • Bring your own water bottle: Let's stay hydrated while being kind to the environment. • Don't forget sunscreen: Protect yourself from the Hawaiian sun so you can enjoy every moment outdoors. • Bring a battery pack: Keep your devices juiced up for all the awesome photos and memories. • Natural remedies: ie: activated charcoal for those little health boosts, ginger chews for nausea, digestion, probiotics to maintain a healthy gut environment, melatonin in case you need a bit of help adjusting your sleep schedule due to jet lag. • International power adapter: if you’re coming from overseas, make sure you have what you need for your electronics to stay charged up and ready to go. • Sandals/Comfy & hiking shoes: We'll be doing a lot of walking to explore the island together. • Natural Bug repellent: Ward off unwanted guests so we can enjoy the great outdoors. • Sunglasses and a hat: Shield yourself from the sun in style. • Medications: Bring the medications you need(if any), plus a bit extra, just in case. • A good book for quiet times: For some chill time, bring along a book to unwind. • Money: Don't forget your credit/debit card and some US cash for any shopping or extras. • A positive attitude, an open mind and open heart: Get ready for a transformational journey time and bring your best vibes!
